Bag Policy

• Each guest is allowed one soft-sided bag no larger than 16" x 16" x 8" and one smaller personal item (e.g., a clutch or small purse).
• All hard-sided bags, coolers, briefcases, and luggage are strictly forbidden. All bags are subject to visual inspection and/or X-ray screening. There are no storage areas at the stadium for prohibited items.

Gate/seating info

• Shaded seats For shade during day games, choose the third-base side or under the upper deck overhang.
• Gates open Typically 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch. This may vary for doubleheaders or special events. Metal detectors are at all gates. You’ll need to remove cellphones and large metal objects from your pockets, but you typically do not need to remove belts, jackets, or shoes.
• Accessibility info Accessible entry is available at all gates. Guest Relations Booths (near Gate 6 in the Great Hall and other concourse levels) provide assistive listening devices and sensory kits. The Access-A-Ride stop is located adjacent to Gate 4 on East 161st Street.

Parking

• Lots Managed by City Parking. Recommended garages include the 161st Street Garage (20 East 161st St) and the River Avenue Garage (950 River Ave). Ruppert Plaza Garage is reportedly closed for the 2026 season.
• Ride-Share (Uber/Lyft) Pick-ups and drop-offs are primarily located outside Gate 2 (Jerome Avenue and East 164th Street).
• Tailgating Tailgating is not permitted in any of the Yankee Stadium parking lots or garages.

Food and Drink

• Water You may bring in factory-sealed plastic water bottles (1 liter or smaller) or empty, reusable non-glass water bottles (up to 24 oz). Glass bottles and cans are prohibited.

Insider tips

• Take the subway (4, B, D trains) to 161st St-Yankee Stadium, as parking is expensive and traffic is heavy.
• You can bring in food, provided it is in a clear bag and, if fruit, sliced. Unopened plastic water bottles are allowed.
• Try the steak sandwich at Lobel’s (Section 132) or the tiramisu helmet cup (Section 105).
• Visit the Judge’s Chambers (Section 104) and the MasterCard Batter's Eye Deck for great views.
• As advised by many, get to Monument Park immediately upon entering as the line forms fast and it closes before the game starts. (closes 45 mins before game)
• Visit the free Yankee Museum (Section 210)
• Security lines can shorter at gate 4, and if you leave in the 8th or 9th inning you will avoid a packed subway.
• Head to Guest Relations (Section 128) for a free first-timer’s certificate.
• The Bleacher Creatures (Section 202-204) are best for high-energy fans and for participating in "roll call".
