Citi Field

Bag Policy

• Permitted Bags Purses, diaper bags (non-backpack style), tote bags, drawstring bags, messenger bags, and small soft-sided coolers. All bags must be 16" x 16" x 8" or smaller.
• Prohibited Bags Citi Field has a strict no-backpack policy to expedite security.
• Clear Bags Fully clear backpack-style bags (no obscured inner pockets) are the only "backpacks" allowed.
• Storage There are no bag check facilities inside, though third-party locker rentals are often available outside for a fee.

Gate/seating info

• Gates open All gates typically open 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch.
• Season Ticket Holders Early entry is often available via the Jackie Robinson Rotunda 2 hours prior to the game.

Parking

• Ride-Share (Uber/Lyft) The official rideshare zone is located north of the Left Field Gate near the intersection of Shea Road and Boat Basin Place.
• Tailgating Usually open 3 hours before the game. Permitted in most lots, but strictly prohibited in Lot A, Lot B, and Lot G. No open flames or alcohol consumption in the lots. Tailgating must be contained to the area directly in front of or behind your vehicle; you cannot take up extra parking spaces.
• ADA Drop-Off The Bullpen Gate on Seaver Way is the recommended location for mobility-challenged guests using rideshare or Access-A-Ride.

Food and Drink

• Soda Coca-Cola products
• Water You may bring one factory-sealed, soft plastic water bottle (20 oz or less). Empty "Swell" or "Yeti" style metal bottles are permitted. Glass bottles, metal cans, and hard-sided coolers are not allowed.
• Food Small, individual-sized food items wrapped in plastic are generally permitted.

Insider tips

• For the best Citi Field experience, take the 7 Subway Train to Willets Point to avoid costly $40+ parking, and enter through the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
• Arrive early to explore the Mets Hall of Fame, view the Shea Stadium memorial in the parking lot, and eat top-tier food like Pastrami on Rye or Shake Shack.
• Visit the Taste of the City area for top local vendors (Shake Shack, Wok n' Roll). Do not miss the famous Pastrami Sandwich in the Hudson Club or at section 126.
• For best veiws/value, the Excelsior Level (300s), specifically sections 309–329, offers incredible, covered, and club-access seats for a reasonable price. For pure value, try sections 406–423.
• Visit the Mets Museum behind center field, the Tom Seaver Statue at the front entrance, and the interactive Fan Fest area.
• The Heineken Diamond Lounge on the media level is fantastic for escaping the heat or rain.
• Fans are allowed to bring their own food (including from neighboring Flushing/Jackson Heights) in a soft-sided bag.
