Bag Policy

  • Bags larger than 5" x 7" x 0.75" must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and cannot exceed 12" x 6" x12". Non-clear bags (clutches/wallets) are allowed if they are 5" x 7" x 0.75" or smaller.
  • Generally prohibited, though exceptions are made for medical or diaper bags (which must be searched).
  • If your bag doesn't fit the rules, Binbox lockers are available for rent outside the Home Plate and Right Field gates.

Gate/seating info

  • Shaded seats To avoid the DC sun, sit on the third-base side (sections 121-135) or in the upper deck, which provides covering.
  • Gates open Usually open 90 minutes before the first pitch. Center Field Gate often opens 2 hours before the first pitch (check specific game times, as this can vary for special events).
  • Accessibility info ADA-accessible seating is available on all levels. Use the ADA/Family lanes at the Home Plate and Center Field gates for easier entry.

Parking

  • Lots All parking lots are cashless (credit card only). It is highly recommended to prepay for a spot via the Nationals website. Lots typically open 2 hours and 15 minutes before the game.
  • Ride-Share (Uber/Lyft) The primary drop-off and pick-up zones are located along N Street SE and New Jersey Avenue SE.
  • Tailgating Tailgating is not permitted in any of the Nationals Park parking garages or lots.

Food and Drink

  • Soda Coca-Cola products
  • Water You may bring one clear, factory-sealed plastic water bottle per person (up to 1 liter). Empty, clear plastic reusable water bottles are also allowed and can be filled at water fountains.

Insider tips

  • Maximize your Nationals Park visit by taking the Metro (Green Line to Navy Yard).
  • Visit on Tuesdays for $9 tickets and discounted food
  • Bring in your own food (in a soft-sided bag) and one sealed water bottle to save money. Top internal spots include the Haute Dog and Korean hot dog stands
  • The Bullpen is a popular nearby outdoor pre-game spot with live music.
  • Kids can run the bases after Sunday games.
  • Enjoy local eats like Ben's Chili Bowl, explore the Devils Backbone beer deck in left field.
